For the duration of this year, I have been creating content on this blog and promoting it through my social media platforms. There is so much that I have learned in a short period of time, but I want to use what I have learned to further develop my personal brand through media platforms.
For the future of this site, I plan to post more frequently and have a variety of content. I want to write about social media influencers that inspire me, review products that I love and hate, and to gather further research amongst companies within this industry.
Initially, this semester-long project was a foreign concept to me. I have never promoted anything through my social media platforms and doing so the first time showed me how crucial it is to have a strong and respected media presence. The amount of views and/or likes you get on a promotion portrays an accurate representation of which followers are engaging with your content. This project really made me want to be more active on my media platforms to help build my platforms that can help with future careers.
The best experience of the project was to help me interact with a community of individuals that are also growing their social media presence. It was an amazing experience to see how many people were supportive of smaller content creators through Twitter!
I truly have learned so much through this experience and want this practice to help benefit my content in the future. I would love to grow my social media presence, and this project has provided me examples and information of how to do so effectively. I believe this can help me with my future career because I want to get a job in the mass media realm.
